Head Performance Coach - Dr. Carwyn Sharp
Dr. Sharp is a specialist running coach who has been training athletes to run stronger, faster and with more power in sports such as Football, Baseball, Soccer, Rugby and distances from 5km to marathon for 15 years.
Dr. Sharp is also an accomplished athlete (marathon PR 2:46 on just 40 miles per week of training), published scientist, and sought after authority on cutting-edge Exercise Science, Sports Nutrition and Distance Running training techniques for optimum performance (see "Links" for recent interviews with The New York Times, Runners World, Muscle & Fitness).
As an integrative coach - optimizing performance through the blending of cutting edge scientific research with proven best coaching practices and techniques - Dr. Sharp works with athletes of all ages and abilities, from recreational to Olympic Trials member, to reach their performance goals using the proven ET4A method of training.
Dr. Sharp has studied at some of the world's most respected Exercise Physiology and Nutrition research institutions in the world, examining the roles of exercise and nutrition on the mechanisms which cause muscle protein synthesis and breakdown. He earned his BS in Human Movement Studies, MS in Exercise Science and PhD in Nutrition.
He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (National Strength and Conditioning Association), USA Track and Field Coach, and is CPR, First Aid and AED certified.
